One Dish One Taste (一碟一味) at Sunway Velocity | All You Can Eat Hotpot & Dessert | KUALA LUMPUR

Let me introduce you guys to a recent hotpot restaurant that I frequent and literally fell in love at first sight. One Dish One Taste Restaurant or they called it MUDAN, for their branch in Sunway Velocity.

The price is definitely on the premium side but let me tell you that it worth every penny. The main reasons are: you get unlimited desserts and hotpot with premium quality (including Angus beef). YES!


My go-to soup are the Gingko Chicken Soup and Mala Milk soup. In the picture below, the left one is Pork Bone. Right is Mala Milk and middle is Gingko Chicken soup.

I should say that I am no soup lover but I cannot stop picking up my spoon and get enough of their tasty, umami chicken broth. This soup is one of their free options but they do go overboard in the seasoning.

The Mala Milk is more of a mild Mala. So, if you are in the mood for subtle spiciness, you can opt for this. But, they also have options for normal spicy mala. 

While, the pork bone has balanced milkiness and savory, but I would say it is pretty standard. Good kind of standard pork bone soup.


Before starting the hotpot, they will serve you with a plate of sweet appetizer to kickstart your appetite. Then, you can start ordering their hotpot buffet menu. I should say that they have top notch service. The staff are super attentive.

Additionally, you can order each dishes as much as you want. But, they all come in mini portions, so you may want to order a lot in one go at first to save time.

They also gave me complimentary seafood platter in my second visit which I was grateful for. Although, it was definitely already a lot of food on the table 😂

Then, you can end the salty soup with a sweet note. My top favorite are the Tiramisu ice cream. Their desserts are not exactly WOW-ing. But , they are not sweet. So, you can dig more of the unlimited desserts options. 

P.S they have more variations on the shelf aside from ones in the picture. You can definitely have unlimited refill of your favorites! 😍

Overall, definitely one of the best hotpot buffet. ⭐️ 9/10
