NAI MONG HOI THOD - Michelin Star Oyster Omelette Since 2018 | Bangkok Series
Been living a few years in KL, I had decided that I might not a big fan of oyster omelette. Sorry to my Malaysian peeps but the oysters are not as fresh, the taste were just okay.. I guess after trying it in multiple stalls during couple of my kopitiam visit.
Honestly, I was hesitant to go because I thought to myself 'hmm, how great an oyster omelette could be' , BUT! I take back my words.
Their oyster omelette WAS THAT GOOD, they deserve the 6 years michelin stars in a row, ISTG.
Ordered their soft and crispy oyster omelette. The oysters were SUPER fresh, the omelette taste clean, seems they do use good quality of oil instead of the 'black' oil that have been used to fried until super dark #iykyk
The crispy omelette - egg was fried until super crispy then topped with stir fried oyster and green onion.
While the soft omelette - egg was still runny , cooked with their oysters together. Perfect bite of egg and big oyster together. The egg seemed to be seasoned just lightly but enough to tickle your palate. Made me want to go back the next day but sadly they are closed on Monday and Tuesday so I had no time to go back. That was the best oyster omelette in my life. Will go there every day if I went back to Bangkok.
I stayed in Chinatown and went on Morning so there was no queue. Hands down, BEST food I had in Bangkok. Must-try 🫶🏻
