NAI EK ROLL NOODLE, YAOWARAT | BANGKOK SERIES
I would like to think that nobody serve roll noodle as good as the Thai. In Chinese, they called this as Kway Chap. In Thailand, they also call it as Guay Jab. There are definitely a bunch of famous Guay Jab places in Bangkok. But, my first ever Bangkok Guay Jab is in one and only Nai Ek Roll Noodle.
This was my first food the moment I landed in Bangkok. As I stayed in Yaowarat, so the queue in the morning was not as insane if you came later in the afternoon.
Their roll noodle soup is topped with crispy roasted pork, pork meat and minced pork ball. They normally add internal organs. As I am not a fan, hence I asked them to remove it for me.
The first spoonful of the soup is a very light pork broth with strong peppery taste. If you are a big fan of peppery soup, this one is definitely for you. The spicy kick from the pepper is comforting in a way but might be a bit spicy for some people. The pork is still crispy and fresh. I also love the chewy texture of their roll noodle.
If you are BIG on soup, you may really love this. Overall, I would rate this 8/10🌟 Do drop by if you are in the area. BTW, they also have other rice menu aside from the roll noodle.
