Thai In Mookata | The Famous Thai Select Awardee BBQ

If you were a mookata lover like us, you definitely heard many people having good rave about this place. They even receive the Thai Select awards which makes you even more wonder, how good this place could be among other mookata places? So, we checked the place out to ensure that your visit is going to be worth it! They have many branches in Klang Valley, you can visit their website  to find one nearest to your place. We visited the one in OKR on Friday Night. First impression, we super in love the vibe. The place is tucked in somewhat inside the warehouse complex kinda feeling. Not sure if it were really a warehouse, but at a glance you can see some showrooms and even more other restaurants in the inner area of the place. The mookata place itself is adorned by beautiful outdoor fairy lights with a giant spacious place whereby you see everyone just chit-chatting non-stop with their family and friends. Despite all the smokes from the bbq, the place is cozy to just chill and take som...

Shu Guo Yin Xiang | Is this the best hotpot in KL?

If you were to ask us, where would I go for hotpot, it would always be either Mudan/ One Dish One Taste in Sunway Velocity (buffet) or Shu Guo Yin Xiang (ala carte). For Mudan, we also have posted the review, so you can check them out as well.

At first, we came to Shu Guo because of the recommendation we saw on Instagram. However, only after one visit, we have instantly been becoming Shu Guo Lover. We came here for too many times, we lost count.

Our favorite was their Chicken Ginseng Soup and Natural Mala, if we were not mistaken. Because, they have the beef mala which is spicier and more oily, you cannot drink it though it was good. But, their natural mala spiciness is already toned down so you can eat more. We always loved a good spiced mala instead of just the oily ones. We loved to use their mala soup for the dipping sauce to get that tingling sensation of the mala seeds.

While, you can cool yourself down by a refreshing Chicken Ginseng Soup. Which is a herbal kind of soup but the chicken broth makes it super umami. We tried their pork bone broth soup which is equally good but for us, the chicken ginseng soup is more refreshing and light after a spicy mala.

To accompany our hotpot, we always ordered their beef and pork selections, some meatballs, dumplings. Of course, not forgetting the fried beancurd roll and many more. Also, do order their fried sichuan pork which is just bomb! 💣

They will also serve you with some fruits and free flow ice cream to sweeten up your hotpot journey. Loved it! Their ice cream is always amazing especially their matcha one.

This is a tips and trick for you to spend less. Shu Guo always have lunch promotion from 12pm to 4 pm, so you can get 20% off your bill except the soup if we remembered it correctly. On top of that, you can top up your membership. For every RM 100, you will get additional RM 20 which you can use for your next visit and no expiry date. You can ask the staff for more info on this. But, this should apply for all branches except the one in Pavilion.

Please try and tag us if you do!

P.S: If you love watching a show while eating, mask show is the specialty of Shu Guo Yin Xiang. They will have their performance at certain hours, so you can check their social medias/directly with the restaurant for the showtimes.👺
